Better Results with Professional Teeth Whitening Treatments

Anyone can use an over the counter teeth whitening treatment, however, products sold at the supermarket use lower concentrations of ingredients, making them much weaker than the professional grade gels preferred and used by Dr. Lernor. As such, the over-the-counter teeth whitening treatments don’t work as well and take longer to remove stains.
Our in-office teeth whitening treatments utilize Opalescence products, for predictably fast results that whiten your teeth better than any product sold in stores.
Lastly, some patients choose to do a combination of in-office treatments combined with take-home trays so they can touch up their whitening at their discretion (which we use both Opalescence or KöR whitening products).

Depending on your preferences, you can choose to whiten your teeth in one of two ways or a combination of the two:

Same Day Whitening

Chairside Ultradent Opalescence Boost whitening can take one appointment to complete.
After polishing away any stain particles, we’ll apply Opalescence gel to the visible part of your smile to activate the oxidation of stain particles. Then the gel is rinsed away and reapplied. After repeating this process 2-3 times, you’ll see brighter teeth in only about an hour.

Take Home Professional Whitening Kits

Unlike an over the counter tray or strip, our custom made whitening trays keep the Ultradent Opalescence or KöR gel against all of the unique curves of your teeth (depending on what product is recommended for your case). Your specific needs will dictate the length of time you will wear your trays. As a beginner, you can expect to wear your trays daily for 10-14 day for full results. You’ll start to see a significant difference just a few days into your treatment. Plus, the results are very easy to maintain. We recommend touching up your whitening for a few days, every 4-6 months (after your checkup and teeth cleaning is the perfect time.)

KöR For Stubborn Staining and Tetracycline Staining

What if you are dealing with really tough stains or tetracycline staining? We understand that each case is unique. There may be tougher stains that need to be whitened. We will often utilize KöR whitening treatment plan for more stubborn stains that include tetracycline staining. This approach typically includes a combination of in-office KöR treatments and take home KöR whitening trays. This approach allows for a more aggressive approach to teeth discoloration or stains. What is unique about the KöR Whitening System is the ability to rejuvenate and restore your teeth so they are able to absorb bleaching factors. This is accomplished by breaking down large stain molecules to ultra-small colorless and white particles. By combining in-office treatments that take 30 to 60 min with take-home treatments that allow you to have whitening treatment on your teeth for multiple hours has a great impact on more challenging cases.
